Slender Bitterling

Slender bittering lives in narrow rivers and industrial water paths where the current is relatively strong. It has two mustaches on its mouth. During breeding season, from its head to stomach, the male turns bright red. The female stretches its tube out and lays egg on a clam. They were not originally spotted in Kagoshima. They are spotted around Sendai River flowing in the Northwest region of Kagoshima prefecture and it is predicted that they have been brought intoKagoshima from outside.
