Black-spot Cardinalfish
Black-spot cardinal fish lives in waters south of Mid-Honshu, Taiwan, and Philippines. It can grow up to be 10 cm in length.
They live in large colonies around rocks in shallow waters. During breeding season, they live outside of their colony and move around in pairs. In this tank, you will be able to see the male protecting the eggs in his mouth.
They are often spotted around the coast of Kagoshima and called “goldfish”. You can also see them swim in colonies in the Dolphin Waterway in front of the aquarium.
