Spotted Reef Crab

These crabs are widely distributed in the Indian Ocean, the South Pacific, the Hawaiian Islands, Australia, Red Sea, South Africa, and it is also found in areas to the south of mid- Honshu in Japan. Their shells can grow up to 15cm in width.
They live in coral reefs and rocky areas of the shoreline. During the day, they hide in between rocks or in holes, but during the night they become active.
Its shell is round and smooth. They have the 11 large and small, red spots found on its shell. One claw grows bigger than the other.
