Cauliflower Coral

ビロードトゲトサカ

Cauliflower coral is found in strong current areas south of Sagami Bay. It is a type of coral that do not produce calcium carbonate skeletons. It sucks seawater to expand and uses tiny polyps that look like sea anemones and catches planktons.

When you touch it, you will notice it is softer than the strawberry coral in the same tank.
