All around Kagoshima, you can see sceneries where paddy farms stretch and rivers flow.  Even with a river wall made of concrete nearby, there are many creatures that live in this plentiful natural environment. The theme of this water tank is a creek near a village.

Once you cross the creek on the bridge, you will see dark chubs and gibels. Bend down a bit and take a peek, you can find gobies and catfish hiding under driftwood. Look under the rock next to your feet to find Japanese mitten crab, also known as yamataro crab, and freshwater prawn, also called danma shrimp.

You can find all sorts of seasonal flowers along the shorelines.
